Uniting Mingaletta Refurbishment of 110 Residential Care Rooms

Project Overview:
MSS Group was engaged by Uniting to undertake a staged refurbishment of Mingaletta, a 110-room aged care facility. The scope of works includes a complete internal strip-out and fit-out of each bedroom and bathroom.

 

Each room is fully deconstructed and rebuilt, including:

• Full bathroom demolition and reconfiguration
• New drainage, waterproofing, and tiling up to the ceiling
• Vinyl flooring installation throughout
• New PC items including fixtures and fittings
• Installation of new cabinetry with semi-recessed TVs
• Feature VJ wall panels
• New window furnishings

 

Staged Delivery Model:
The project is delivered in 5-week cycles, with four rooms handed over at a time for refurbishment. Some larger rooms with balconies require a 7-week program.

 

The project is on schedule to finish by April 2026, showing how our team delivers quality work while adapting to the needs of a live aged care environment.
